In response to the prevalent trend of significant layoffs amid the ‘Great Layoff’ wave, WiJungle has formulated strategic hiring plans. Over the course of the next six months, the company aims to recruit more than 120 professionals at various organizational levels. 

Notably, 2023 has witnessed a daily average of over 27,000 job losses, attributed to intense global competition, the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the swift progression of technological advancements. As businesses, from startups to large enterprises, increasingly embrace digital transformation, the imperative need for a robust cybersecurity infrastructure has become evident. 

In alignment with this demand, WiJungle, an AI and Machine Learning-based security platform, is proactively expanding its workforce, focusing on sales, operational support, engineering, and other crucial departments. The 11th of May every year is celebrated as National Technology Day with the quest for scientific inquiry and technological creativity and the translation quest in the integration of Science, Society, and Industry. This year’s theme was “PRAGATI” (Promoting avenues for Growth through Technological Innovations) which was celebrated at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi. 

On this day WiJungle has been felicitated with the prestigious National Technology Award 2022 by Dr. Jitendra Singh – Honorable Minister of State for Science & Technology. The award was presented in a ceremony organized on National Technology Day held on 11 May 2022 & and presided over by Dr. Srivari Chandrsekhar – Chairperson, Technology Development Board & Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, and Mr. Rajesh Kumar Pathak, Secretary, Technology Development Board. The award consisted of a gold-plated leaf trophy and a cash award of INR 15 Lacs.

Indian Govt. Made Compulsory for Govt. Organizations to Procure Indian Cyber Security Products

With Atma Nirbhar Abhiyan, subsequent changes in General Financial Rule and Public Procurement Order (Preference to Make In India) 2017 have been brought in by the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Commerce & Industry respectively.

As per the revised Public Procurement Order 2017 dated June 04, 2020 and later modified on Sep 16, 2020, only local suppliers or Indian Cyber Security Products are eligible to participate in government procurement irrespective of the value. The definition for Indian Cyber Security Products shall be as per the Public Procurement Order 2019 for Cyber Security Products dated Dec 06, 2019.

WiJungle being a Make In India Cyber Security Product welcomes the government’s move to facilitate the promotion of Indian companies and entrepreneurs.
